A Word from the Manufacturer:
The roots of the Overboard story are on the Thai island of Phi-Phi. Among the diving shops, we - Dan and Joel - found the yellow waterproof bag that was to change our lives.
For weeks we'd fought to protect our iPods, mobile phones, money and such, from the ravages of water and sand. Not easy in view of how much sailing, leaping from boat to boat-taxi, surfing, and hanging out on the wet deck of dive boats we'd been doing.
Now, thanks to our new yellow friend, everything was protected and dry. But more was to change than that.
For what was left of our six-months-out we were persistently asked 'Where can I get one of those?' And the light went on. What we'd needed so did thousands of others.
Back home, even before the tan had faded, we were researching, designing and producing the first Overboard product - the perfect tough dry bag.
Such was the response - from friends, family and a growing band of customers - the range just had to grow. More colours and sizes, individual water-tight protection for everything from phones to iPod's, and more.
The Dan and Joel commitment has been simple - to provide the highest quality, sharpest looking, waterproof protection, and to make it true value for money.
Sure, it's been hard work - but there are perks. Lab testing is not enough. Products like ours need to face real life situations, ideally with the sun beating down. And somebody has to do it!
